The Main House

The Main House has a ‘Hamptons meets New Zealand’ feel, relaxed and unpretentious, but genuinely beautiful. The living room is anchored by a floor-to-ceiling South Island bluestone fireplace beneath vaulted ceilings, the kind of space that naturally draws people together in the evenings. There’s also a separate TV room with a big chaise sofa and gas fire for when you just want to switch off.

The open-plan dining and living area opens right up through bifold doors, and the view stops you in your tracks, the infinity pool, the Matakana estuary, and Mt Tamahunga all laid out in front of you.

The kitchen is well set up for those who love to cook: butler’s pantry, Liebherr wine fridge, a proper Italian espresso machine, and bifold windows that open to the outdoor dining area so inside and outside just blend together. Each of the five bedrooms has its own character, with French doors leading straight out to the deck and lawn, and native bush beyond.

The Boat House

Its open-plan layout, loft bedroom, and whimsical shepherd’s hut second bedroom create a space that feels both cosy and one-of-a-kind.
