Te Arai Auckland (Exclusive Use)

Te Arai is a divine eco-friendly boutique luxury lodge, offering authentic personal service from the owners, Vince & Kathy Moores and their family, in a spectacular setting.

Located just over an hour north of Auckland, and surrounded by over 20 acres of native bush and ancient forest, Te Arai Lodge enjoys panoramic views over the rolling hills to the stunning beaches and Islands of the Mangawhai coast.

The communal “Great Room” features a central open fireplace, dining area and kitchen area, where memorable meals are created using fresh organic local produce, with a table-to-plate ethos.  Guests can enjoy a shared dining experience or can elect for private dining at various locations around the property.

A north facing terrace wraps along the front of the building with a covered portico and outdoor fireplace offering the perfect spot to watch the sun set with a glass of New Zealand wine.

A 20m heated swimming pool sits directly below the terrace, and a cedar hot tub is tucked into the edge of the bush.  A gym and yoga studio  with full length mirrors flows out onto the pool decking, alongside an infrared sauna, indoor and outdoor shower, bathroom facilities and mini bar / hot beverage kitchenette.

Suites included:

Kōtare Cottage: This Ocean-inspired haven with views overlooking the organic gardens and native bush. This self contained cottage has external access and an internal connection to the main lodge and features an outdoor bathtub, a gas fireplace, aircon, private dining facilities and a complimentary minibar.

Kereru Suite:  Inspired by local flora and faunawith views overlooking the native bush, the Kereru Suits has external access and an internal connection to the main lodge through the library and features an outdoor bathtub, gas fireplace, aircon, and a complimentary minibar.

Adjoining bunkroom also available with the Kereru Suite.

Morepork Barn: A unique blend of the iconic kiwi shed with a contemporary studio interior. Positioned across from the main lodge, the Morepork Barn supports the 42 solar panels to sustainably power the lodge. The suite is a double height studio, with views towards the orchard and native bush. This suite features a generous paved courtyard with open fire brazier, kitchenette, walk-in wardrobe, outdoor cedar bathtub, wood burning fireplace, private dining facilities and complimentary minibar.
