The house was beautiful and the perfect size for the number of friends and family accompanying us. MajorDomo were very accommodating when we had to postpone twice due to Covid lockdowns and the owners were also kindly flexible on the dates we needed to stay. They also very kindly were happy for us to host our wedding reception / private dinner (8 people total) with private chef once we explained that it was a very intimate affair. We dealt with Poppy who was great at communicating with us and we had a very smooth check in and check out. We would definitely use MajorDomo again if this experience was anything to go off.

“The aspect / views of this holiday house is beyond words. I found it so close and convenient to and from the airports shopping facilities. I love having complete privacy surrounded by a vineyard it’s truely magical. It’s so warm and cosy in the house with the romance of the open fire and it was so luxurious with heated concrete floors throughout the house. Not to mention the spa with the outdoor fireplace is heaven after a day on the slopes. This house is styled to perfection but has a nice home away from home feel.
The kitchen is so well equipped I think it’s better than my kitchen at home. Every detail has been thought of down to different wine glasses for every type of wine. I particularly liked the walking/ bike track to the Shotover bridge. I felt very safe riding my bike from the house.”

Our phones are now full of the gazillion photos we took of every changing moment of the water, mountains, and sky. We saw the most beautiful sunrise AND sunset that we’ve possibly ever seen anywhere! Just sitting and watching the boats buzz about the lake and the sky and water change color with the weather made up most of our time there. Our day out heli-rafting and lunch at Amisfield was fantastic and Helen the babysitter that MajorDomo organised was absolutely lovely – a real professional looking after 4 four year olds for a whole day.
Wharenui was everything we hoped it would be. The setting is truly magnificent, the property and the home are beautifully presented and the quality of the linen, guest amenities and facilities were really appreciated, particularly after two weeks in a campervan. The property has so much to enjoy – the tennis court and pool table where great fun. The kids loved the spa and must have had a hundred games of hide and seek in the garden with another 100 laps on scooters around the tennis court. It was so spacious and the two families effectively had their own apartments and the two lounge areas were great as were the open fires. I really can’t say enough about the a wonderful time we had there.”

“The property was absolutely stunning and so very perfect for our family.
We recently spent two weeks at a stunning property called ‘Shotover Point, Queenstown’, courtesy of MajorDomo. We are a family with two small children and embarking on a two week skiing holiday is no small feat. The property was absolutely stunning and so very perfect for our family. We had ample space, with the generous living rooms and large bedrooms. The stunning lawns and vineyards proved not only a perfect outlook whilst enjoying a wine, but a wonderland for the children to explore. Shotover Point has luxury beyond luxury, with the interior design and fittings making it such a treat to spend two weeks enjoying. The views are breathtaking and we even enjoyed snow at the property on our final days. The location made it quick to commute to the mountains for skiing and perfectly situated to enjoy restaurants in both Queenstown and Arrowtown.
Last, but certainly not least we contacted Fiona less than two days before our arrival to enquire about their concierge service. We had left almost everything to the last minute and help was needed. Fiona ask me to send through the list (which was long!) and within 24hours, she had everything either done or well on the way. We arrived at the house with the pantry’s stocked with the finest food and beverages, toys for the children, in-house ski hire, and a huge array of activities, dinners and babysitting planned for the duration of our stay. Not only was the service absolutely impeccable and the amount achieved beyond belief, Fiona was such a gracious and wonderful host. Everything about our holiday was fabulous and we really do owe it all to MajorDomo and Fiona. We provide the highest recommendation to MajorDomo and look forward to using their services in the years to come.”

Fantastic location , so nice and quiet and just ….. comfortable.Awesome views from every part of the home. Pretty nice lake and mountains outlook to wake up to. Had trouble getting the kids out of there. Thanks for everything you and the MajorDomo team did to make for an enjoyable stay – pre-heating the spa pool, having the house warm and under-floor heating all set and cosy before we got there, firewood piled up – you just make it so easy to just move in and chill out. Definitely be back again real soon! Careful …. we may not leave. Thank you again.”
