This extensive historic property has been sensitively renovated throughout ensuring modern comforts are luxurious and continue the existing connection to the outstanding natural setting.  Fresh white interiors ensure the space is light-filled and modern joinery & glazing provide jaw-dropping views whilst maintaining period features throughout such as battened high ceilings, heart rimu flooring, and tongue & groove paneling.

You won’t ever feel short of things to do at The Longhouse:  explore the expansive gardens; head to the beach for a surf lesson; go fishing, visit the sights around the Otago peninsula or simply take a walk around our quaint Karitane village and explore the Huriawa peninsula steeped in history as a Maori kaik (village) and early settler whaling station.  If you are in the mood for a little self care use the yoga mats, bolsters and blocks for a diy yoga session (lessons are available on request) or head into the infra-red sauna followed by a cold water outdoor shower.  Sundowners around the firepit and a spa under the stars offer the end to a perfect day…
