The striking design of Mawhiti was conceptualized by award-winning firm Stevens Lawson Architects, and was created to complement the beautiful sculptural ‘Gateway Pavilion’, which is also onsite, positioned perfectly to frame the views of Ragitoto Island.  The Gateway was originally designed as the New Zealand submission for the Venice Architectural Biennale in 2012.
