The Glasshouse Queenstown

Inside, The Glasshouse is thoughtfully styled, with tastefully-curated artwork placed in each bedroom and living space, adding a sophisticated yet personal feel throughout. The main living area is bright and open-plan, featuring a large L-shaped sofa, flatscreen Sky TV, and a statement gas fireplace – perfect for cosy winter evenings. A generous dining table comfortably seats six, and the fully equipped kitchen features high-end appliances, a central kitchen island, and a quality coffee machine for your morning brew. That being said, with central Queenstown’s plethora of dining options located only a 10-minute walk away from this holiday home, you may find yourself dining out more than in.

The living area opens out to a patio and walled garden where you’ll find a stylish entertaining area, complete with a gas fireplace, overhead heaters and a covered seating area. Across from the living area, a lake-facing balcony holds a spacious wooden hot tub, offering a peaceful spot to soak in the mountain air in the evenings.

On the far side of the property, follow the lit garden walkway through to the landscaped gardens where you’ll find and a raised greenhouse-style glass house, hosting a luxurious wooden sauna and peaceful seating area overlooking Lake Wakatipu. Just below, a dedicated pétanque court and a selection of lawn games offer fun and laid-back way to spend your afternoons in the sun.

The Glasshouse offers three spacious bedrooms, each with its own en suite. The master suite features a King bed, walk-in wardrobe, and a generous bathroom with his-and-her’s sinks and a large shower. Upstairs, the second bedroom offers a similar set-up with a stylish en suite and ample wardrobe space. The third bedroom is located downstairs, offering complete privacy along with convenient access to the laundry facilities. Here, you’ll also find the access to the internal garage, complete with a ski storage area for winter stays.

When it comes to location, you’d be hard pressed find accommodation much closer to Queenstown’s centre which is just a 10-minute stroll away, meaning morning coffees, evening cocktails, and everything in between are right on your doorstep. There’s plenty to keep you busy with Queenstown Gardens just a 10-minute flat walk away, and the popular Frankton Track* nearby, which is perfect for walking or biking alongside the water. A two-minute walk gets you to Lake Wakatipu itself, if you’re feeling brave enough for a dip!

Being such a close walk away from all that central Queenstown has to offer is an undeniable perk, however this holiday home’s bountiful range of facilities might just tempt you to stay in.
