Fiona Stevens, Founder of MajorDomo asked to comment on the book in NZ Luxury Tourism

Fiona Stevens, a Founder and Director of MajorDomo, was recently asked to comment on the boom in the New Zealand luxury travel and accommodation market. With over 20 years of experience in the tourism sector, Fiona has never seen such demand for luxury holiday homes and concierge services.

The year 2015 saw a huge increase in demand for luxury holiday homes, concierge services and luxury lodge bookings throughout New Zealand and particularly in Queenstown, Wanaka, Bay of Islands and Auckland. Luxury villas and holiday houses are particularly sought after by guests holidaying with families and groups of friends.

Traditionally, guests from North America and Europe were the core market for luxury tourism but now visitors from growth markets such as China, India and South America are travelling more and more to New Zealand. February is particularly busy in Queenstown over the Chinese New Year period with all available MajorDomo properties booked.
