Minaret Station Wanaka

Minaret Station is New Zealand’s premium alpine experience providing guests the opportunity of exploring the wilderness of New Zealand’s South Island through its many unique products including Heli-Adventures, Guided Fishing, Guided Hunting and Heli-Skiing. Owned and operated by the local Wallis Family with an affinity for the outdoors, Minaret Station prides itself on its friendly and experienced team, who are all passionate about delivering memorable experiences time and time again.

The station itself, which is only accessible by helicopter, boasts a charming mountain lodge, complete with two living areas, a dining room and professional kitchen and there are four stand alone suites.  Each of the suites enjoys beautiful views of the wild landscape and a private wood-fired hot tub on its deck – perfect for enjoying a dip beneath the light of the stars!  With no TV screens in the suites to distract you, nature really does take centre stage, allowing you to switch off and disconnect from a busy world for total relaxation.

Included in the Chalet tariff are all dedicated house-keeping services along with all chef prepared cuisine, which includes a full a la carte breakfast, lunch (picnic or seated), pre-dinner canapés and a gourmet three-course evening meal. Beverages, including top local wines are also included during the stay excluding the reserve cellar list. Guests can take advantage of complimentary WIFI throughout the Alpine Lodge, and a satellite television is located in the study of the Mountain Lodge building.

Guides are on hand to lead informative hikes or leisurely excursions around the lodge area, ranging from a gentle walk to neighbouring waterfalls through to more challenging hill climbs from the valley floor.
