Fiordland Lodge

Set in a World Heritage Area, this luxury lodge in Fiordland offers the discerning traveller style, comfort and privacy, and is the perfect base from where to explore Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound, and the surrounding Fiordland National Park.

The Lodge itself was constructed in 2002 and sits on a superb rural site with rolling grass lands and has commanding views out across Lake Te Anau. Inside the open architecture of the Lodge reflects the vastness of the Fiordland National Park and echoes of the forest are found in the striking natural timber construction. In the lounge, a lattice work of huge log trusses soar to over thirty-six feet above and surround a large open fire, clad with local river stone.

Fiordland Lodge will be your exclusive retreat in Te Anau while you get the opportunity to discover one of the world’s most beautiful areas. It is an area where snow-capped mountains, rivers of ice, deep lakes, unbroken forests and tussock grasslands produce a landscape of exceptional beauty.

At Fiordland Lodge, a maximum of 29 guests are accommodated in 10 luxurious rooms in the Lodge and two separate self-contained loft-style Log Cabins.  All luxury accommodation options at this luxury lodge in Fiordland have commanding views over Lake Te Anau, and external access out onto either the balcony upstairs, or the lawn downstairs.

The Fiordland Lodge accommodation features luxury king-size beds, well-appointed private bathrooms and superb views, and the decor reflects the beautiful Fiordland landscape, focusing on muted natural colours and textures.

LODGE ROOMS:  These entry level rooms rooms are located on the ground floor of the main lodge and  open out directly onto the lodge lawn.  Every room enjoys views of Lake Te Anau.

DELUXE LODGE ROOMS: The deluxe lodge rooms are situated on the second floor of the lodge building to enjoy elevated views of Lake Te Anau.  These popular rooms are bright and airy.

TWO BEDROOM LODGE STUDIO: The 2 bedroom Lodge Studio is located on the ground floor of the lodge and opens directly out onto the lodge lawn. With views over Lake Te Anau and the surrounding Fiordland mountains our 2 Bedroom Lodge Studio and is ideal for one or two couples travelling together or a family of up to four.

THE FIORDLAND SUITE: A 3-bedroom suite attached to the main lodge

THE LAKE HOUSE BY FIORDLAND LODGE: A private 4-bedroom stand-alone house, located 800 meters away from the main lodge.

LOG CABINS: The two Log cabins provide secluded private accommodation for a maximum of five guests and are situated separately to the main lodge. These are traditionally built cabins, and guests staying here can also enjoy full use of the lodge facilities.
