Step inside and the upper level opens up beneath high ceilings and skylights, so the whole home fills with natural light. The view pulls you straight into the open plan living space, where Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables sit framed like a permanent backdrop. The entertainer’s kitchen anchors the room and is well equipped for cooking for a crowd. Either side, two separate lounges each have their own gas fireplace, and one leads to a bar nook, so everyone has space to spread out and unwind together.

Aspen Ridge sleeps up to eight guests across four bedrooms, including one with its own en suite and lake views. The other three can be set up as twins or kings, which makes the home easy to tailor for families, couples or friends travelling together.

Fernhill is one of Queenstown’s most sought after addresses, with sweeping lake views and easy access to town. From Aspen Ridge, a five minute stroll along Fernhill brings you to Nest Restaurant, the local dairy and a great takeaway spot. A leisurely 30 minute walk down the hill puts you in the town centre, and if you’d rather drive, central Queenstown is just five minutes away.
