With school holidays in full swing and ski fields beginning to open, things are ramping up a notch in Queenstown & Wanaka.

The buzz of these famous ski resort towns is back, alive and kicking!

The local area is an absolute gold mine for those looking to explore the snow. To get you started we have put together an overview of what’s on offer.

Coronet Peak – Queenstown’s Closest Ski Field

Holding the title as New Zealand’s first commercial ski field, Coronet Peak is no stranger to hosting your winter holiday and has got it down to a fine art.

Whether you are a speed demon on the slopes or a first timer, you’ll be able to keep yourself busy here.

Even if you are looking to just dip your toe in, you can rent a snow sled instead of hitting the slopes big time.

Insider tip: Twice a week you can ski from sunrise to sundown. The slopes are lit and a DJ has the tunes pumping- check out Night Ski passes here
