Falcon Brae Villa Nelson

An exciting new development at Stonefly Lodge, near Nelson and Abel Tasman on the South Island, provides the option of an Exclusive-use luxurious Villa for groups of up to 10 guests (6 adults & up to 4 children) staying in complete luxury, with access to three individual suites and an additional bunkbed room.  Falcon Brae is perfect for multigenerational families or those seeking total privacy.  

“Falcon Brae” Villa is perched on a hilltop high above Stonefly Lodge, with spectacular 360 degree views over the surrounding mountains and the majestic Motueka River below.   The Falcon Brae is 720 sq metres in size, located on 350 acres of property surrounded on two sides by rivers, including a private forest and spectacular native bush walks. 

The architecturally designed contemporary residence, features a large central lounge area with a 5 metre ceiling, sunken bar, grand piano, media theatre, commercial kitchen, 3 dining areas and a stunning collection of New Zealand and local art.  Directly in front of the Helipad Terrace, guests can relax in the “Games Den” housing modern gym equipment, pool table, table tennis, darts and a games table. The large deck space overlooks the mountains and river, featuring a pool & outdoor heated spa, barbeque area for outdoor dining and entertaining with a shaded pergola.

Each of the three suites (two Master & one Junior Suite) offer total privacy and utmost luxury, with floor to ceiling glass windows, private balconies, and breathtaking views of the mountains and the river below.   Each suite sleeps up to two guests, featuring a super king or king-split bed, a separate spacious lounge area, with comfortable modern furniture for lounging and the romance of a fireplace.

The large private cocktail bar is a feature in each of the master suites and includes a full cocktail menu for guests to make their own perfect drink in the privacy and comfort of their own suite.   The luxurious bathrooms are beautifully appointed with twin basins, a large dressing room, deep baths, separate showers, and heated floors & towel rails.   Each suite is equipped with WiFi, surround sound television, high spec sound system, and sensor operated floor lighting.

The 3 suites can accommodate up to 6 adults and the bunk room sleeps up to 4, with a maximum capacity of 10 guests in the Villa.    For larger groups travelling together there is the option of guests using both the Villa and the Lodge for exclusive use, accommodating up to 14 adults and up to 4 children together.

The entire Villa can be booked as exclusive use with a private chef, and house staff, offering complete exclusive privacy.  

As with Stonefly Lodge, the Falcon Brae Villa is completely “off the grid” with solar panels providing all the power required. Centrally located between 3 major National Parks the Falcon Brae Villa is an ideal luxury private retreat, of the highest of standards, providing easy access to all the major activities in the Nelson -Tasman Region.

The Tasman Suite 133sqm  – Pool Front Master Suite, perfect for outdoor entertainment and features a – Super King or split twin bed. The Tasman Suite opens onto a large expansive lawn area on the northern side of the Villa with easy access to the pool and spa deck with shaded pergola. Entrance from the main Pavillion is via the internal art gallery.

The Kahurangi Suite – 125sqm – River View & Hilltop Spa, The Kahurangi Suite consists of a luxurious bathroom, large central lounge area and bedroom (with Super King bed or split twin) with private deck leading to a secluded outdoor hot tub, nestled into the mountain edge on the southern side of the Villa. A sunset setting not to miss.

The Motueka Suite (57qsm) & Bunk Room (25sqm) – The Motueka Suite sits alongside the Kahurangi Suite, making it ideal for multi-generational families. The Family Bunkroom is located directly across from the Motueka Suite, and includes a double bed and two bunk beds. This is the perfect spot for the children, a driver, a pilot, security guard, or nanny. The Motueka Suite features a Super King or split twin bed and the Bunk Room features a Double bed, plus twin bunk, with ensuite, sleeping up to 4 children
