This year, as Australia day falls on a weekend, the public holiday is “mondayised”, giving our Aussie friends across the pond Monday 27th as a public holiday day off. If you want to take this opportunity to get away from it all for this long weekend, these gorgeous Queenstown homes are guaranteed to offer everything you could possibly need, and still have some last minute availability for the Australia Day weekend:
The epitome of easy living and the local lifestyle, this chic home is a tranquil retreat just 5 minutes from the shops and cafes in Frankton. Enjoy a relaxing dip in the private spa pool as you look out to the mountain ranges all around, then dry off by the outdoor fireplace whilst enjoying a cheese platter and bottle of Central Otago red. Perfect for families or a group of friends to come together and enjoy each other’s company in a beautiful mountain setting. A darts board, ping pong table, and lawn croquet will keep you entertained at the house all weekend, and the trails along the Shotover River which are just down the road are a gorgeous spot for a morning stroll to make the most of the fresh mountain air. If you do want to venture into Queenstown town centre or Arrowtown, both are just a short 15-minute drive away.

The famous Queenstown Hill walking track starts just moment away from the house, and is a great circuit for a morning hike to start the day.
